OVER THE YEARS...
1966, awwwww...
I'm the dirty little girl.
1976, stuffing my face.

My bangs are long in this picture, but in 1996
I cut them back up to my eyebrows. I have not cut them since.
You can see in the second picture that my bangs have grown a little.
I continue to trim the bottom of my hair so that my bangs can catch up.
1999
This is about the time I quit my office job...
an indoor job without windows.
I began staying home, working outdoors quite a bit,
thus the lightened hair. I do not use dyes,
so I have sun streaks.

If you look closely, you can see that my bangs are not that far
from the rest of my length. I have trimmed quite a bit from my length
since 1996 to allow the bangs to grow out the same length.
Just a little more to go and I can quit cutting other than trims now and then.

Ah, it is now August of 2007. In my experience, knee length has been the easiest of
extreme lengths to care for, as well as maintain a healthy and even horizontal volume.
When the ends are of smaller size than the rest of my hair, I prefer to trim it back up
to the length where it is most attractive and all the same width / length. For my own hair,
this is knee length or slightly shorter. The easiest way to determine your hair's horizontal
volume is to put it into a braid. If your hair has an extreme taper, you have lost much horizontal
volume. I'm pretty fussy about this look on my own hair, and do not like it, thus I trim to keep
things in check.
February 2008. I made the mistake of cutting my hair, and as such, am back to square one.
I'm starting all over once again.
