STRESSLESS TRESSES - SAME BUT BETTER - SINCE 1995, BY KAREN MARIE

March 6, 2008

Please be patient, I have so much work to do on my site.

Okay, so now that I've cut my long hair yet again, it's time to start over.
Which led me to think.
"What would you do differently if you could do it all over again?"

Well, I am doing it all over again, and quite frankly, I can't think of much I would do
differently in the way of my hair care routine. However, it wasn't perfect, so I'll
share a few things that could use some work on this next go-round.

Take more pictures. Nothing records progress better than photos. Dated photos.
And not just on the internet. Print them. Years from now, will those internet files
still exist? Maybe not, but a photo album tends to hang around.

Protect your hair from the sun. While I loved the color the sun gave my hair,
the bleachy streaks from all that time working in the garden, I know that it isn't
the healthiest habit. Heed the advice of the very beautiful Lady Grace. Get a hat.
Albeit a big hat, but yes, a hat. And a handkerchief or scarf.

Okay, so it's hard to look like a fashionista with such a device on your head, but
it isn't the runway. It's your back yard. Your front yard. Your farm, your garden.
Protect the hair! If you simply must run around in the sun, use a good hair protectant
spray.

Drink more water. I don't think I lacked water, I just realize, as I get older,
how important water truly is, not only for one's hair health, but overall health. And
of course we all know (don't we...?) that overall health results in hair health.
Be healthy, have healthy hair. Have healthy hair habits!
